Using Excel to minimize logistics costs and optimize flows

Did you know that you can use Excel to minimize your logistics cost ?

Microsoft Excel has a bunch of great stuff ! One of them is called Solver Add-in.

You can use this tool for solving Logistics problems such as creating the best distribution plan, minimize the time of our deliveries, or maximize the utilization of warehouses and loading compartments of an aircraft or a ship !

Solver Add-in can help us find an optimal value (maximum or minimum) for the objective function — subject to constraints, or limits, on the values of other formula cells on a worksheet.

The challenge is to transform the logistics problem into a mathematical model that you can solve quickly with Excel.
